other GPS's that have maybe 5-10 million, which didn't bother me because when I plan trips I usually know where I'm going and can type in an address, and am only concerned about gas and food places, but hey, my TomTom couldn’t find the Winchester mansion lol, so I guess they're about the same. The only downfalls are that it only has 1.6 million POI's built in, vs. The display is amazing! Really, it’s like the easiest thing to understand, as your driving, gas station symbols pop up and highway signs are displayed at the top of the screen. When you click on the menu the volume adjustment is right there, on my TomTom you had to go through several menu screens before you could adjust the volume, which was very annoying on a long car trip. I also like the fact that you can set the directions to be given in miles and feet, the other ones only gave directions in kilometers and meters, which was difficult to understand. the others which spoke weird and sometimes didn't warn you enough in advance when you were about to make a turn. This GPS speaks like a real human when giving direction vs.
This Nextar is super easy to set up and figure out and the menu is straight foreword. I previously owned a Garmin and a TomTom and found their directions difficult and the settings hard to mess with. Although this product is an off brand that I had never heard of before, I was surprised with how much I like it.
